    I've done the no port plugged, 12hz SS. Didn't like that since it bottomed out my PC+ easily. On SW2:AOTC Cavalcade THX trailer, I could easily bottom out the SVS with 12hz ss none plugged. 16hz SS unplugged made my sub rather resistant against bottoming out. Its the sub unloading itself...

    Just to see what happens, I decided to chart my FR of my port-plugged 16-46PC+ against the various settings of the SS filter. YMMV, but might be useful info for some. As expected, a plugged 16-46 did give extension down to 12hz. At other SS settings, the response expectedly flattened...
