My collection isn't a patch on many other members of this forum. But I think I would be surprised if there is a member of the HTF (who has a substantial disc collection) who hasn't gotten some attitude from family or close friends about said collection--especially in this day and age of...
That's an interesting article, Carlo...with a very interesting take on the topic.
Although it might be better served in one of the threads on physical media vs. streaming.
Personally, I'm hoping to do a complete overhaul of my collection in the next few months (a good winter's project!)...
Bill: If you haven't checked out THIS THREAD, Robert Crawford is one of the biggest noir fans on this site.
If you don't want to wade through all 114 pages skip to the last dozen or so and you'll get the idea.
This is from the OP of this thread:
This is straightforward, yet it seems some members cannot help themselves...especially since I just tried to nip this in the bud a few posts ago.

Robert died just about seven years ago. We created this thread to announce his death and gather as a community to remember him and all his contributions to the forum.
Some newer members might...
In the early days of the Home Theater Forum, moderator Robert A. Fowkes (RAF) posted an essay entitled "Why Do I Own So Many Movies?
It's hard to believe, but that essay was written more than 25-years-ago...in 1992! But a lot of the ideas contained within are still valid for many HTF members...
