Hmmmmmm. I guess so. But if the weather looked like it was going to stay bad, the umpires more likely than not would have tried to keep the game going. But hard to say. Most likely? They would have re-started game 7 whenever they could. But if it got too late...all bets would be off...

Brian: I know it might ring hollow...but the eventual champion 2004 Red Sox took up the mantra "Why not us?" after being down 3-0 in the ALCS. Never say never. But I agree that the Indians seem to have had the momentum this entire postseason.

The way it's done at high school level is that the catcher or manager makes a request to the umpire to award the batter first base. This can be done before pitching to the batter or on any ball and strike count.
