People need to simply follow a basic moral code and remember that God is watching what they do...even if they think no one else is watching.
And then there was...
1.) That looks like the MOST CONFUSING THING EVER! :D
2.) Um. It's Colchester, VT.Population 17, 524. There's a Hampton Inn and a Shaw's at that intersection (with a couple of convenience stores). What am I missing?!?
Thanks for the info! :thumbs-up-smiley:
Malcolm: do you know anything about the construction at Exit 16 (Colchester) of I-89? Where it intersects with Route 2. We stay at the Hampton Inn there all the time. It seems like Route 2 is ALWAYS under construction there!
That's a LOT! Prices for a bag of ice around me are still in the $2.50 -$3.00 range...but most places sell down-sized bags that are only five pounds.
One local convenience store chain however, Stewart's, still sells seven pound bags. They also still sell their own ice cream brand in full...
1.) That so many pharmacies now close down for lunch (when many people have time to run to get their prescriptions filled). Huh? Stagger lunches people!
2.) That so many places misspell the word "inconvenience" on their signs apologizing for inconveniencing their customers! ^^^
Many American chain restaurants, Terry, keep "machines" called Ziosks on the tables for customers. Besides allowing the customer to review and pay the bill, many also have games (trivia, video games, etc.) that the customers (or their kids) can play--for a price.
We should probably save all this for an MLB thread, but it's easy to say "business is business" about a lot of annoying things. It doesn't make them any less annoying and many of the decisions being made these days by MLB are annoying--especially to longtime fans of the game.
I've heard that its still soon enough that they could take the two series they've already canceled from the beginning of the season and reschedule them to the end of the regular season (preserving all 162 games).
But the commissioner's office, owners and players are all their worse...
Get rid of it, Malcolm. You won't regret it. I ditched mine years ago and have never missed it (except on those ultra-rare occasions when better quality was needed). Savethe $$$ and buy a new movie each month!
I get the annoyance, Jeffrey, but $283 seems like a pretty good price for a fairly major car repair such as that. I'm no expert--by ANY means--but any time you can get away with an auto repair that's less than $500 these days, it seems like you are doing pretty good.
Which now makes me wonder if there's a way to turn off the same message on my TCL 55S535 which kicks on for a couple seconds everytime I fire up my system (no matter the input device). I'm sick of seeing it. (It annoys me--to stay on topic! )
Heh. Heh. Clinton has a decent package.
But, seriously, dude. That sucks. Fingers crossed that this closed door will result in another door opening for you.
Yeah. But that was just one example of what I was talking about. It can manifest in so many different ways!
I could have just as easily used the example of being at a red light with my left directional on. And the guy in the car opposite me (who has no directional on and is going straight)...
There, I fixed that for ya!
It's like when you pull up at a four-way stop with one other car who has the right of way and you wait and wait for them to go thru the intersection (because by law THEY have the right-of-way). But then you realize they are sitting there waving their hands...
And I'll just step in at this juncture of the conversation to remind members there will be no discussion of the efficacies of masks (or how many masks) in this thread (or on this forum).
Just a friendly reminder that this is a forum on Home Theater. And while we allow threads on off-topic...
