Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Oh please, if basketball players are "too tall," then baseball hitters are too strong, football linemen are too heavy, etc. I'm amazed that "too much" physical athleticism is a bad thing. I was rooting for the Nets all season, but the Lakers deserved it, and Shaq is the most entertaining and...

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Well, it's halftime now in game 1, and my poor Nets are getting slaughtered. *sigh* Oh, well, hopefully they'll pick up some steam further on down the series.

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Divac played great. If the Kings want to blame the loss on anything, it's: 1. Free throws 2. Poor clinch decision making 3. Putting all the weight on Bibby at the end A great series and a fantastic game. It can't get any better than a game 7 overtime, folks. Don't count the Nets out...

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Rich, I most certainly am enjoying the Eastern finals, but then again, I'm from NY and live in Boston. I guess folks just figure it doesn't matter because whoever wins will just get beaten by the team from the West. Even if that's true, it's still a fantastic series.

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Ok, Kobe ain't no Jordan. And I ain't no KeithH. And an apple ain't a giraffe. An orange is orange but Greenland ain't green, violets are violet so what does it mean? Now that we've stated the ludicrously obvious, can we just let the players play? There is nothing worse than a whining...

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

I really don't understand why people are so hard on Divac, especially for this last game. His performance was outstanding, and he deserves kudos for playing so well against Shaq alone. His accidental tip to Horry was coincidental- what was he supposed to do, let a Laker get a layup? The 4th...

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

Holy mother of Spam! What a 4th quarter! I was actually rooting for both the Nets and the Celtics all season, but Jason Kidd and my NY heart make me favor the Nets a little more, but I wouldn't be upset no matter the outcome. However....   Where were the Nets at the...

What the hell happened last night?! The Lakers were destroyed! Wow. The Kings just came out and were relentless. Good for them. The series is very interesting now. Perhaps the Lakers will come back all angry and nasty. Can't wait for the next game.

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

The Kings got their asses beat down. It wasn't even funny. They missed so many opportunities- how can they expect to beat the Lakers like that? And the Lakers just took turns with all their weapons- first a little Kobe, then Horry with the shots, Fox stepping up, and then, when the Kings...

Can The Lakers Be Beat??(Official 3-Peat Thread)

If the Laker's last game proved anything, it's that the Lakers know how to step up when the pressure is on. That took a lot of guts to go for the three pointer at the end. Sure, sometimes they fall asleep, but they can come at ya like you wouldn't believe. As a resident and fan of the East...
