  1. Mikael Soderholm

    Tenet (2020)

Some of the dialogue seemed to be intended as 'funny', or I just misunderstood. First, meaningless banter about his clothes, are they fancy enough to pass him of as a millionaire? Brooks Brothers not good enough? There were a number of lines regarding his clothes that didn't really make any...

Yep, and Nolan's love for cool sets in IMax. Must say, after second viewing (on Blu) I kinda get the story, but I'm not impressed, and the Imax stuff just because it looks cools gets old really fast. If it doesn't help telling the story, why do it? Just cuz it looks cool? And it does, but so...

    Tenet (2020)

I'm so glad my question wasn't so dumb, after all ;) And I'm still not sure I get it. And speaking of time travel explanations, what about Somewhere In Time? Thought that was pretty good, (although they were eventually stuck in a loop), but it worked without a lot of science hokus pokus, no?

OK, will see if it makes more sense to me on a re-watch. Thanks guys for your input.

Because we don't get it anyway :rolling-smiley:

Yeah, but it still doesn't explain, to me, why How long do we need to have these spoliers for a film several months old, btw? While I do respect those who don't like spoilers, I always think of what Lucas said to Spielberg regarding Jaws...

    Tenet (2020)

Only seen it once, so far, but it is sitting beside my BR player to be watched again soon. Can't say I got it all, although I think I got enough on the first viewing. More complex than Inception, for sure, but with another viewing, I'm sure I'll figure out some more ;) One thing though:

    Tenet (2020)

Probably the best way to approach it. I never thought Inception was that complicated, but this one was. Saw it once, in the cinema, and the blu is sitting waiting for me ... We'll see how the second viewing turns out.

Well, if the same people who are two meters from me on the street are now two meters from me in the auditorium, I can't really see how the risk increases. But nevermind, I'm going.

Tickets for a daytime showing in Stockholm Aug 29, digital. They run the auditorium at half capacity (and twice the price), but still. They also do 35mm, but not at times that fitted me, unfortunately. There is also an IMAX theater that will show this, not sure how they do with capacity. My show...

    Tenet (2020)

So here in Stockholm we are not as wary, it seems. Just got a mail from my local art house theater, they will show Tenet in 35mm at the end of August. Restricted seating, every second seat not available, like they have done this summer. The room is 100+, so pretty small. Very tempted, but then...

    Tenet (2020)

So, a completely new trailer in front of 1917 here in Stockholm today, not one scene from the prologue, looked like a completely different movie. Even more intrigued, now.

    Tenet (2020)

It was shown before SW here in Stockholm, looked fairly generic, but then again, only five minutes of any thriller basically does ... Will definitey see it, after all, it's Nolan.
