Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Those blue backs are from AOTC and Saga figures. The Saga line was basically just an extension of AOTC, where they released figures from all the movies in a similar package. Once I get the basement all cleaned up again, I'll need to take new pics. I have my projector semi-up and running, and...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

It wasn't necessarily his only motivation. He was certainly arrogant about his power and felt that he deserved a seat due to him being stronger than most members of the council. Unlike OBW, Anakin never really grasped the difference between power and wisdom.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

There's a difference between being a Jedi Master and being a Padawan's Master. A Jedi Master sits on the Council and has a vote in the actions of the Jedi Order. Before ROTS, OBW was simply Anakin's master. He was in charge of teaching Anakin...he did not sit on the council. Anakin is bitter...

Me too. I absolutely love the close-ups on OBW and Grievous's eyes.

Actually, the projector still isn't here. The screen came so damn fast that it blew everything away :) Hopefully I'll have everything all set up by next weekend. Still need to get a futon or something though...have no place to sit down there.

    :D That's classic.

So Anakin could go there and slaughter them. They had been on Utapau with Grievous, but war was about to break out there, not to mention the fact that Palpy needed Anakin away from OBW. Mustafar specifically was an inconsequential pick. I'm pretty sure that's where they were making the parts for...

I forgot you had mentioned that to me. I'm still absolutely loving my SVS 16-46PC+. Can't speak highly enough for the SVS product, as well as customer service. :emoji_thumbsup:

The Episode 2 DVD released motivated me to buy my current TV (Panasonic 53WX42), and I think the Episode 3 release is going to make me upgrade again. I'm planning on buying my first projector by the DVD release. Thought I'd share my excitement ;)

I can't believe this argument is still going on :D Yoda tried but retreated. He could have continued the fight (and maybe won), but his survival outweighed the death of Sideouos at that moment. He made the choice to quit. Light Side, Dark Side...who cares. Dooku kinda beat OBW...Anakin beat...

Is that true? If so, where did you read it? Obviously Lucas is a revisionist, and as such his word should not be taking as fact, but I've only ever heard him say that he chose Darth Vader because it loosely translates to Dark Father.

Actually, it is the actual Millenium Falcon. LFL confirmed it on their "cameos" page that was posted here in the last week. It was the pre-Lando owned MF.

As I said before, compassion not possession.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

"There is another Sky...walk....errrrrrr." And I don't deny that Luke is acting out of a "personal" need. That doesn't mean he's the same as Vader. OBW and Yoda weren't entirely right about attachment being a problem. It certainly was for Anakin, because his attachment was about possession...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Obviously, that's not what I was saying. Since the SW movies have wrapped, I figured that most of the team would move on. I was just commenting that I think he moved on to a good team, as opposed to a bad one (but not as opposed to LFL). It's not like the man would be doing the sound...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Luke never said, "I need you, father." He said, "I've got to save you." If there was possession in his heart, you're reading his mind, because there was no such thing on film. If he felt some adolescent fixation with his father, he would have joined him in Bespin. Luke's reasoning for trying to...

Actually, it's name is Boga. Can't remember what kind of specific beast she was, but was refered to as a dragonmount in the book.

Not sure about that Hasbro ship, Tim. Didn't notice a green one in the film. I may buy the ship, though. Cheaper than the AOTC version, and it's basically the same thing. What I'd really like is a Clone Wars version with teeth painted on the front of the ship. Not to mention OBW in...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I agree with Kevin and Yee-Ming on the OBW/Maul thing. That was the point...Anakin's weakness was the same as Mauls overconfidence. OBW relied on his experience.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

As did I. Funny you say overwritten, since people criticize Lucas of under-selling Anakin's fall in the film. Looks like between Lucas and Stover, no one can win ;) BTW...Ordered Shatterpoint from Amazon New and Used for $5 shipped (hardcover). Can't wait to start it.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Yah, that was a great scene, Kevin. Another that I wish had made it into the film. Anything dealing with OBW's love for Anakin would have been great. Thanks for the tip on Shatterpoint. If I get into the New Jedi Order books, I'll read Traitor, but I'm definitely going to pick up...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I totally agree with you, Ricardo. I really liked how the novel showcased OBW's "attachment" to Anakin. It would have been great to see him ask Yoda or Bail if Anakin had survived. A lot of the good stuff in the book is internal monologue that would have been hard to get on screen. I think...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Just finished the book. Very good. Even better than the film. There was a passage that I found relevant to the whole Anakin/Vader discussion toward the end: "You remember the dragon that you brought Vader from your heart to slay. You remember the cold venom in Vader's blood. you remember the...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I think the Angel/Vader analogy works better with Angel's selfish quest to bring down W&H and gain redemption in Season 2. Angelus was not making the decions...Angel was fully in control. He just chose the wrong (selfish) path. I agree that the dark-side has a pull on one's personality, but...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I completely agree with Robert in regard to the whole Anakin/Vader business. Ben's quote was correct "from a certain point of view," but not in reality. Anakin Skywalker did not cease to be. Vader did not kill Anakin. Anakin made the choice to do evil things...the choice to become Vader. If it...
