I'm still in agreement with Romier. All the villains have shown some large weakness that allowed them to be defeated. At the end of the day, I'd rather have an interesting villain with a weak plan than a boring villain with an impenetrable plan. The second may be more realistic, but the first...

I agree with Romier. As I mentioned before, I don't mind Adam as a plot device or storytelling tool. In that respect, he's pretty good. As a 3D character he's pretty boring. Wilkins (and the Trio for that matter) would represent the opposite end of the spectrum. Whether you liked them or not...

Exactly. Not to mention the fact that as a regular on a show with Angel, the writers were able to work through their past pretty successfully. The non argumentative discussions they had during Season 5 were all strong moments.

I think the Joss apology was just a joke. That being said, I hope he was apologizing for Beer Bad. Hate that episode, but got a kick out of the Jonathan-centric Superstar. Loved the opening credits changes.

Exactly. My thoughts on Angel have always been that it has a consistent level of high quality, but no knock-your-socks-off episodes like Buffy (The Body, Hush, OMWF, CWDP). That being said, I think Season 5 will change your mind. There are at least 9 episodes that I consider real...

BTW...my rankings (best to worst). The only season that I thought was "bad" television was Buffy S7. Buffy - 3, 5, 2, 4, 6, 1, 7 (Seasons 3, 5, and 2 are pretty equal in my opinion) Angel - 4, 5, 3, 2, 1 (Seasons 4, 5, and 3 are pretty equal as well, IMO)

I think both shows are very reachable, but I prefer Angel. The best episodes of Buffy (OMWF, Hush, The Gift, etc) are mostly better than the best of Angel...but for the most part I think Angel is consistently good. There are less "bad" episodes of Angel than Buffy. The ensemble always felt...

Wow, I can't imagine hating Angel Season 3. I think I still prefer Season 4, but I think Season 3 is fantastic.
