Daisies cover is awesome, totally appropriate for the film.
I'm 100% down for Malcolm X, and most likely Daisies. I've only seen the first Infernal Affairs movie, so I'll probably just get that one from the library. ITMFL or Power of the Dog are both very good, but I don't like them enough to...
Technically they've released two from Ghatak, since A RIVER CALLED TITAS is in one of the WCF boxes. But yes, I agree. As much as I love Ray (my favorite director), they could release a lot more Indian cinema.
And what about Iran? There's a whole lot more besides Kiarostami, guys! Makhmalbaf...
Yes. It's a ridiculous way to stretch the clue. There would be a million better ways to hint at Eyes Wide Shut. Not to mention it breaks the consistent theme of box sets in the drawing.
It's usually between 3 and 6 eastern time, so if they're being consistent, could be any minute now.
(of course, there's also no guarantee they will be posted today at all, but it's USUALLY the 15th or first business day after it)
Do the Right Thing - One of my faves, definitely all over this for the proper color timing. The vague features listing does not make it entirely clear what's being carried over from the Universal Blu-Ray, but there's no sign of the 20th anniversary commentary, so I guess I'll keep both editions...
It HAS to be Cloud-Capped Star (Meghe Dhaka Tara)!!! So excited, one of my top 100 films! And if the three little clouds indicate it will be the whole partition trilogy, even better!
