Titanic SE See Post #541 for Update

Sigh... I'm close to losing it here :) , how many times do I need to explain that this petition is not simply asking Paramount to release the S.E. Instead the petition asks them to, when the time has come for an S.E - to not just put it up on par with their current releases, but to make it a...

Titanic SE See Post #541 for Update

220 signatures so far. I am still not satisfied with the results... If you have not yet read the petition statement, do so here. Then decide to sign, or not. Please do not make up your mind just by looking at the topic. Thanks.

Okay, the petition is now cross-posted to AVS Forum, DT Forum, DVD Talk Forum & Home Theater Talk Forum. I hope I'm not considered a spammer! Any more suggestions, keep 'em coming!

I'm bumping for a reason :) If everyone who signs put a little something into the thread it wouldn't need any bumping... Also I could have made the thread the petition itself, but I think petitiononline.com would be more efficient?

Good points. I want to wait until the petition has "grown" a little first, I believe the more signatures, the bigger the chance of more people signing. Without more signatures there is a risk that people will pass it by for a small, useless petition. Still just roughly 150 signatures - a bit...

Good arguments. I have no problems whatsoever with the movie being split on two discs. I indeed hope they will consider this. With only one disc - although nice in a way - it would be too much of a sacrifice. Me too was deeply dissapointed when I heard of Pearl Harbor being split in two - but...

I would prefer Paramount to release two versions, one "movie-only" (2 discs) and the special edition (4-5 discs) :) That way the money is spent on the people that are willing to pay for the supplementals.

Anthony: The object of the petition is clearly not to convince Paramount to release an SE of the movie, it is an attempt to convince them not to screw the release up. I think it is almost certain that they will do an Special Edition, question is how special it will be, and I want it to be pretty...

About the intermission... I haven't watched my Pearl Harbor DVD yet, but I don't believe the intermission has to be in some particular moment as long as it doesn't disturb the viewing. Everything except in the middle of a scene it's allright with me. I think more important is to cut the movie...

Titanic SE See Post #541 for Update

Hi all, As I'm sure many of you have already heard of, rumor goes around that a Titanic SE is in the works. A believable rumor indeed, since a lot of people were dissapointed by the content and quality of the 1999 DVD release. The original release features an excellent but non-anamorphic...
