    FYI you screenbuilders, here is the (much too dark) beginnings of my DIY screen - AKA the LiarHawk :) My projector is out on loan until next week, so I don't get to see how much good it does for the blacks (and how much damage it does to the whites) until then. Link Removed

    Correction, my screen LOOKED great, until I started toying around with Behr pastel base and (too much) lampblack pigment with the Home Depot paint guys :) Oh well. At least my blacks are going to be kickass now.

    I'll offer up my DVD player if you guys want it, a humble Panny RP-62. Deinterlacing (Sage/Faroudja FLI2200 chip) is great but I agree with Jonathan scaling the output makes kinda screws the comparison. I'd like to see what an HTPC does with my Sharp pj though. The progressive scan RP-62 was...
