Just to underline what Martin said, heads would explode if you saw the rigamarole that studios have to go through at times in terms of rights issues when it comes to these releases-- particularly in terms of music. Contracts that are decades old have to be dug up and revised, etc. Apparently...

Thanks much, Martin. I think that, between restoration and various rights squabbles, people don't realize what it takes to get something out into the marketplace DONE RIGHT the first time out. Looking forward to some of those catalog titles!
