UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about...™ - The Exorcist -- in 4k UHD

I really don't recall as it'd been so long since I last revisited the film (other than my quick sampling of the recent 4K digital upgrade), but did they actually use their standard bit of accompanying music for the 75th anniv logo before? Probably so... as I really wasn't aware of this issue...

Ack! Really don't understand why they thought any fan of the movie would actually want that for case cover *and* disc menu screen... especially when the old cover art is so iconic, etc. Sheesh! Classic case of don't fix what ain't broke, no? At least the digital's menu screen could be...

Yes, I agree some cases do significantly integrate the logo into the film's intro (and are therefore more than what one might normally see/think of fairly generic logos that are essentially tacked on before the film begins) whereas most don't really though... _Man_

FWIW, you also don't *have* to watch them on very "digital" looking "displays reaching many hundreds or thousands of nits" either. Some of us go w/ FP setups that probably do come closer to what good film projection would/should look like, but that's a choice you have to make (and pay for and...

UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about...™ - The Exorcist -- in 4k UHD

Sorry, I'm by no means defending this release or Friedkin's revisionism of course, but people do typically tend to believe and claim they have better recall than they actually do... and I seriously doubt that's quite that different for them as well even if they indeed have much better recall of...

I have the (freely upgraded) 4K digital of the DC on iTunes, so guess I should watch that before deciding (though sounds like I will probably end up buying the disc before too long)... _Man_
