I really don't recall as it'd been so long since I last revisited the film (other than my quick sampling of the recent 4K digital upgrade), but did they actually use their standard bit of accompanying music for the 75th anniv logo before? Probably so... as I really wasn't aware of this issue...
Ack! Really don't understand why they thought any fan of the movie would actually want that for case cover *and* disc menu screen... especially when the old cover art is so iconic, etc. Sheesh! Classic case of don't fix what ain't broke, no?

Yes, I agree some cases do significantly integrate the logo into the film's intro (and are therefore more than what one might normally see/think of fairly generic logos that are essentially tacked on before the film begins) whereas most don't really though...

How much does one really have to care about that aspect of film history to be a real "film fan"? I can certainly understand if a particular logo is very specific/unique to a particular film (or handful related films), but if it's essentially a pretty generic, perhaps...

I have the (freely upgraded) 4K digital of the DC on iTunes, so guess I should watch that before deciding (though sounds like I will probably end up buying the disc before too long)...
