Guess my iTunes digital of Tootsie (from the Columbia 100 bundle :lol:) will probably (eventually) get upgraded to 4K? That's probably good enough for me (until/unless all the major/MA-eligible digital platforms die/reneg, LOL)... Not sure I really "need" the other 2 on 4K disc though, but...

I'm gonna wait for reviews at least for Aliens before buying since I already have a decent BD of that. Probably gonna wait for reviews of The Abyss and maybe even True Lies as well. IF the reviews on them suck (due to DNR or whatever), I may just wait for them to hit the bargain bin first...

Pretty sure they're still doing stuff in-house. Maybe not quite as prolifically as in decades past, but pretty sure they still are under Grover Crisp (as RAH can probably attest... if he sees this post). We probably wouldn't be getting (occasional) stellar 4K disc releases from them...

Not sure what other TV series you're thinking, but these aren't serial, but very much episodic like most (particularly older) TV sitcoms, so they're certainly quite-to-very rewatchable (w/out devoting lots of time)... if you like such. But I find they're also very rewatchable in completely...

Why not just try it beforehand? I'm sure you can easily find a few episodes at the usual places like YouTube or some of your favorite streaming platforms/services or whichever cable channel. Probably just about any few random episodes should easily do. These days I'd rather just buy something...
