My fairly large order placed just a couple days ago (mere hours before the original sale end time) apparently shipped sometime today (w/ usual email notification). Figured I'd mention that since there were some questions/concerns/etc about shipping capacity, email notifications, etc several...
Sometimes, a term does seem to evolve (or not) to outlive its usefulness and/or value, LOL...
This debate about what counts as film noir reminds me of a great many other debates, including about what's truly/authentically Chinese (when it seems so very much of all of our culture, even language...
My shipment for a large order placed in the early morning of the extended last day just arrived yesterday... looking a tad bit like it went thru a war zone or something (and seemingly less well packed than usual for Kino)... but all shipped titles (34 in total) seem fine enough w/out any...
Wait. There's a new reissue of Scarlet Street coming soon? How did I miss that? Will it be a new 4K scan or the like? New extras? Guess I should try searching thru the announcement thread... although we probably need a new "4K scan and restoration" for The Woman in the Window more than...
I finally got around to placing a large order early this morning as well after debating a fair bit and exercising a little discipline to keep it w/in my self-imposed limit of <$400, including tax -- it ended up ~$380 total for 35(?) titles mostly BDs plus a few 4Ks... and ~2x as big an order as...
To add to the confusion, I did need to wait for my rather big (nearly $400-tax-included) order from the last day of that last sale to be reshipped after somehow receiving completely wrong (non-media/non-Kino) items for the original shipment, LOL -- Kino's customer service was awesome/perfect as...
And oh, the package has no other signs of being a stolen shipment itself (w/ no prior labels removed or not, etc).
I wonder though... if it's possible that there was some shipping accident that caused USPS (or maybe the UPS trucker or whomever at whichever UPS transfer checkpoint) to repackage...
Well, just received my shipment today, and well...
... I didn't get some rocks, but...
... I somehow got a pair of winter vests of all things in the box, LOL!
Must be some sorta magick trick or something, LOL, but certainly would never expect those, if I got my shipment stolen or something at...
Columbo became an unlikely quarantine hit? No idea, but I woulda thunk Monk might more likely become a quarantine hit (and yes, when's that BD set also coming out from Kino? ;):D), haha... Then again, they did say "unlikely" though, heh... :P

My fairly large order placed shortly before midnight PT on the sale's (extended) final day apparently shipped out last night w/ ETA this Saturday... which probably means I won't actually get around to watching the vast majority of them til at least a year after that, LOL...
Welp, I totally wasn't expected it, but I've done it yet again in the 11th hour (or possibly beyond since there seems plenty of leeway for when this sale actually ends, LOL)... and made a rather huge last minute order  -- in fact, tis my 2nd largest (only by a small margin) in the nearly 2...
Ha! I had been putting off and overlooking this sale and didn't realize today was its last day, LOL! Guess I better get right to it asap then... ;):D

I'm just glad they continue to release such a wide array of titles in at least pretty good A/V quality (and usually include a pretty good, often new-ish commentary track and/or whatever extras) and don't generally charge an arm and a leg for them (NVM the frequent sales they run)...

While you wait for them to hopefully be released on BD someday, maybe consider HD digital for a few of them, if they're available, perhaps? I don't know about most of them, but you can certainly get The Naked Jungle (1954) and The World of Suzie Wong in HD on iTunes (or maybe Vudu, if that's...
I get what y'all are saying about those boxsets... though I have no real complaints myself given the overall context, especially if Kino might eventually (re)consider releasing the more popular/desired/better titles in those sets as separate standalones.
We have to remember Kino's a business...
They were probably just PM-ing Target (as is often the case). I actually ordered a handful from Target over the weekend, but will probably order more from Kino's upcoming sale.

LOL, April was not *that* long ago -- we're only in mid-June now. It's not like they stopped announcing anything at all since then afterall. :P
You're probably just feeling that way because you're hanging out here so often (like most of us), haha... but com'on now, nobody else is making...
It probably takes all kinds between those who won't wait for sales and those (including me) who need/do wait, but also tend to buy tons at a time... and it's not like Kino even makes us wait that long for sales given their quarterly sales afterall...
It's probably vital for them to not keep...
No idea what's going on w/ Kino's order processing, but FWIW, I received my shipment exactly a week ago (and approx 2 weeks after placing the order) even though I placed my order at the proverbial 11th hour, if not even probably technically, slightly late.

Well, I ended up placing a bigger order than expected (totaling a tad over $200+tax) after I finally slogged thru the sale selection last night. Not sure when was the actual deadline for ordering, but I'm sure I was pushing it as I debated on a bunch of titles trying to keep my order from going...
I would think they should (and probably will) accommodate, especially under the circumstance.
May not be standard policy for them, but I've even once had a (rather big) order canceled and refunded even after they already shipped (where they needed to contact the shipper to redirect back to...
And then, there's me not complaining... because I still haven't even gotten around to slogging thru the sale selection NVM ordering so far -- yeah, I too have actually kept a fairly sizable "wishlist" on there, but oddly, there's not enough of the more desirable (vs the more fringy-of-interest)...
