I imagine they're all concerned about possible "burn in" from equipment left on, and consumers expecting them to replace their damaged displays. They'd rather withstand a few complaints about things turning off too soon than possibly be liable for thousands of dollars in equipment replacements.

This was already discussed some in one of the threads here. I have no issues with them fixing actual "mistakes" in the film and removing things that should not be there. They wouldn't have been there if filmmakers had the means and methods of removing them in a cost-effective manner at the time...

I doubt any action will be taken as it doesn't seem to be a problem affecting all the discs. Seems to be either a specific batch of discs or certain players. Though even the latter doesn't seem like a pattern as we've had different members with the same players have different results. But I...

I think if the technology exists to fix actual "mistakes", then go for it. Visible people, equipment, and other things things that shouldn't be there like the disposable coffee cup in Game of Thrones, cars in the background of Middle Earth, etc. Fix 'em. It's when they start replacing/updating...
