    Jaws 2 (1978)

That, and the scene where the shark rises from below and behind Marge to swallow her whole as she's helping Sean get back up on the overturned boat, but cannot get up herself. Those are the two most memorable scenes for me.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

I'm usually more distracted by the shark's jaw folding up when it brushes the boat. But it's still a very tense scene.

I didn't either until I read the obituary.

Don't know of any behind the scenes issues. Probably just a moment used to ratchet up the tension when Brody feels relief to see his son safe, just to find out that his younger son is not when Mike reveals, "Sean's out there."

When I was younger, I also enjoyed J2 more than the original, as I thought the original was too slow. More shark action in J2. Must be the shark worked better for this one, and the shark FX also looked better, IMO. Which made it more perplexing that the shark effects were so bad in Revenge...

Plus, for those with the ability, you can at least watch J3 in 3D blu.

That was last year (Revenge's 30th anniv). :P

    Jaws 2 (1978)

It created a great mood and tension for the film, but on the other hand it enforced and propagated the attitude that sharks are evil killing machines and should all be destroyed.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

That shot is basically a ripoff of a similar scene in The Shallows.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

Kind of a takeoff on the Jaws posters. I'm a bit concerned with the ever-changing size of the Meg in various posters and trailer scenes. There's one poster where it seems large enough to swallow a whole cruise ship, and other shots it seems much smaller. One of the hazards of CG effects I guess...

    Definitely.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

The only thing that I thought was pretty well done was the opening scene of the attack on Sean Brody. It seemed like kind of a call-back to the opening of the first film where you don't see much of the shark, but you know what's happening. But it's all downhill from there. I remember seeing it...

    Jaws 2 (1978)

I thought it looked pretty good except for the scene where its jaw folds in half as it scrapes along the side of the boat when it's trying to get Mike as he's unconscious. Some of the fakeness may also be due to the fact that we just see it so much. In the first film, the fakeness was very well...

    Jaws 2 (1978)

This one always freaked me out, too, since you can see the shark "chewing" and it seems like there's a "crunch" sound effect on the soundtrack.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

"Sharks don't take things personally, Chief." ...at least not until Part 4. :P I also never got the impression of the sharks chasing the Brody family, at least until that was the main thrust of Jaws the Revenge. Through Jaws 3, it just seemed like the Brody kids were in the wrong place at the...

It's also available on Netflix or Amazon Prime Streaming. That's where I watched it last month.

    Jaws 2 (1978)

Cruel Jaws just looks like footage from The Last Shark and Jaws edited together. I'm looking forward to Meg. If it stays on track (currently filming), it's supposed to be released in 2018. Cast includes Jason Statham, Masi Oka, and Rainn Wilson. Though reports that the budget is $150...

And "Grizzly". I just watched that for the scary movie challenge. It was amazing how many things they ripped off, but it was still pretty effective.

I think his intention was comparing the Part 2's in each series to the later sequels. In both series, Part 2 is pretty good. The further sequels, not so much (though I like Alien 3 better than most).

Plus, there was the conversation on the deck of the Orca where Hooper proposed injecting poison into the shark and Quint said he'd never get the needle through the shark's skin. Hooper said it might work if he could catch the shark in the soft tissues of the mouth while he was down in the cage...

    Jaws 2 (1978)

That's when the shark is coming up behind Marge, just before it chomps her down whole, after she's helped Sean get back on the overturned boat. One of the best creature action scenes in the series, for me. The shot from behind the shark, when you can see the jaws flexing and hear the crunch and...
