    Things that baffle you?

That's what I wondered, too. I'd be more concerned with someone just standing out in the rain WITHOUT an umbrella. ;)

    Things that baffle you?

I'm always baffled by some of the things that people report to the police, that show up in area police logs. Really? These are things worthy of notifying police? April 9 A bicyclist was taking pictures of people. April 12 A person was standing in the rain with an umbrella.

Why this supermarket settled on such an odd "sale" price for this item. Most stores would probably be $3.99. But they want to get that extra nickel, I guess.

I thought maybe there was a sale on Illumination Animation titles with the new release of Migration, but I didn't see anything that looked special.

Why on March 8, the current Top 10 list of most popular film purchases at Amazon has The Grinch at #4 ?

I was always under the impression that 32F was the freezing point. If temps bottom out at 33, there should be no frost.

My Costco card has always had my photo on it. I've assumed they must give it a cursory comparison during checkout which is why they were concerned about self-checkouts where no one was checking the photo against the customer. But unless they're checking photos at the door, just scanning the...

I don't see how this solves the issue. Scanning the card only verifies that the card belongs to an active account, it doesn't verify that the person walking in the door and scanning the card is the actual member.

There seems to be little rhyme or reason with Amazon packaging and shipping. I think they spread inventory over so many different warehouse locations it's nearly impossible to ship most things together. Costco does something similar. I placed an order a while ago that included 4-6 items. I think...

Why Zac Efron's appearance in a new film is considered "headline news" (not to mention the fancy restaurant closing, too)? Must be nothing else of note going on in the world these days. Click the link and you get a couple sentences about his muscles, haircut, tan, and an invitation...

    Things that baffle you?

Yeah, I've met a couple of stars in my time. I didn't scream or gush or ask to take a bunch of pictures. Just had a polite, pleasant conversation. These people that scream, cry, carry on, and trample people nearby are ridiculous and, I think, mentally unbalanced.

The young guy this morning at Walmart who apparently felt he needed a shopping cart to transport his 8-pack of Dove soap from the store to his car. To his credit, after he unloaded the massive box of soap, he did take the cart over to the cart return corral rather than just leaving it in the...

Well, that product only has to be 51% actual cheese. That's why it's "pasteurized processed cheese food" ;)

Talk about first world problems. Is it really that difficult to unwrap cheese? New YorkCNN — Kraft is fixing one of the biggest complaints about its cheese slices: the packaging. The company’s Kraft Singles are getting a a major makeover, with not only “easier to open individual wrapping” but...

How we seemingly have the technology to spy on other countries from satellites in orbit and the ability to build telescopes that will take crystal clear pictures of the galaxy and celestial features that are many light-years away, but all of our surveillance/security photos taken from a few feet...

May depend on the institution and model. This is from Equifax: Although ranges vary depending on the credit scoring model, generally credit scores from 580 to 669 are considered fair; 670 to 739 are considered good; 740 to 799 are considered very good; and 800 and up are considered excellent...

Agreed. That happened to me when I bought new winter tires for my car in 2020. I think they were on the car just a few weeks, probably only around 500 miles, and a huge screw punctured one. I have to buy new summer tires this spring, so I'll probably run over something else around early May.

It may also depend on the time of day. I recall seeing the same movie on the same channel one time, where the version that was shown earlier in the day was censored, while the version shown later in the evening was not. Then again there are other cable channels that seem to randomly censor...

If they're showing it at a later hour, there should be no reason to censor the language. Other basic cable networks show movies and such with the language uncensored. If that's the case, I'd imagine they're likely censoring all the sex and nudity, too. Must make for a short episode. ;)

Why in a parking lot with angled parking, some people will turn into a row where the parking slots are angled opposite to the direction they're driving? This also usually creates a near head-on with others trying to drive in the correct direction. It's not difficult to see which way the slots...

I know here they usually set up a skating rink on the front lawn of the capitol building but had to delay that until just a few weeks ago as the early winter was so mild. The next couple of days seem to be the exception to what's been a pretty mild winter around these parts. Supposed to be...

    Things that baffle you?

Even where they do, the stores are not willing to police/enforce the number of items rule. I think a local supermarket has a big sign standing in the entry to the self checkout area, "Self Checkout - 20 Items or less," and there's routinely someone with a whole cart full trying to check out. It...

I finally got my 70-something mother to start using her debit card a few years ago and she hasn't looked back. Still can't get my Dad to use his. I think he finally ran into a store recently that had now stopped taking any and all checks, period.

    Things that baffle you?

I guess it depends on how much you value your own time spent waiting in line, especially if you get behind someone with a cart loaded with items or a Boomer that wants to write a paper check.
