Been a while since I watched the Dune disc, but I recall not being that thrilled with the 3D presentation. I need to watch it again sometime before I see Part 2.
Got a shipping notice yesterday from Amazon Japan that my three Marvel 3D's are on the way.
I ordered Thor: Love & Thunder, Wakanda Forever, and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness all together. Shipping was about the same as for a single disc, so it all worked out to around $40 per title (the three discs were around Y18000, shipping was around Y3200).
If you can wait and...
RealD is promoting it on X and on their web site, as well (along with Kung Fu Panda 4).

They also have this poster at IMDB (RealD logo at bottom), though I guess this is for UK.
Never say never, but I'm not holding my breath. Warner seems to have stopped supporting 3D blu, even through Archive releases. I think their last 3D blu release was the first Dune in 2022. They've had other 3D releases in theaters since then, but none have come to blu-ray.
I almost said "thanks for the info, I'll save my money," if it was The Marvels, but I already purchased Eternals 3D and it's on my "still to be watched" pile. :(
Oh, well. Hopefully I like the film more than you even if the 3D isn't worthwhile.
I charged a couple pairs of mine over the weekend and they seemed OK. Watched The Diamond Wizard. Good film but the two detectives didn't seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed.
My glasses may be in the same state as I haven't used any of them for the better part of a year, probably, and some of them have been idle much longer than that. I'll have to check on them this weekend, maybe.
They'd have to be active if he's hoping none are "duds".
I've purchased a dozen or more sets over the years and only ever had one pair that gave me issues, and I think that set started working eventually after I fiddled with it a bit.
Yeah, I've never seen white bars letterboxing the screen. That may be some setting on your projector that you could change.
I have a static screen of about 1.75 with my projector. Most things that run outside the frame are in 2.35 films that run objects into the black bars comprising the...
The Marvels is supposed to be 3D
Trolls: Band Together will be 3D.
Disney's Wish will be 3D.
Not completely sure about Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, but it's listed on the RealD 3D website as a "coming soon" feature, along with the three listed above.
I recently discovered that there's a 3D version of the recent Conan the Barbarian remake with Jason Momoa that I seem to have missed. Irrespective of the quality of the movie itself, anyone know if the 3D is worthwhile?
My 3D Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is on the way from Japan. And thanks to Amazon's pre-order price guarantee, I saved a whole 19 Yen (US 13 cents) off my original order. Woo hoo! ;)
Mine arrived today. I ordered it earlier this week when they put the remaining inventory up for sale (seems to be sold out now). Not sure when I'll get a chance to check it out, as it's too hot to fire up the projector for the next few days.
Seems like it's available at Amazon:
Hopefully no one is paying scalpers prices until there's some confirmation that it really is going out of print. Seems odd they wouldn't make more if the demand is there for a brand new release.
