Also not present at all on the City of Prague rerecording (which used the original orchestrations Poledouris and McRitchie had before it became clear very quickly that the Orchestra de Santa Cecilia wasn't up to snuff).

I mean I compared it to the Youtube clip and couldn't hear it at all on certain portions. It seems to have been dialed up a bit for this release but I suspect they couldn't go very far with it.
I always prefered the extended cut (which is actually Melius's directors cut). There's something more powerful with ending the film on Conan carrying Yasimina off into the sunrise than the burning Set Temple in the other versions.
Look people. Go on Prime Video and compare their copy (which has the original mono soundtrack) to the clip I provided. Choir is present in bits represented by only horns on the 5.1 mix.
Its quite brighter than the old MCA LP master having been newly remixed from the 2" multitracks. Not perfect though as Intrada screwed up some parts that were reedits of pieces from earlier in the film. There was also some criticism that a tamtam was missing from the end of The Orgy but...
