    Also not present at all on the City of Prague rerecording (which used the original orchestrations Poledouris and McRitchie had before it became clear very quickly that the Orchestra de Santa Cecilia wasn't up to snuff).

    As I already said earlier in this thread (emphasis added): Late overdub made durring the 24-to-3 track mixdowns and its presumed lost. Nothing can be done.

    Slightly more. I mean I compared it to the Youtube clip and couldn't hear it at all on certain portions. It seems to have been dialed up a bit for this release but I suspect they couldn't go very far with it.

    Choir is there. Its mixed pretty low but it is audible.

    I always prefered the extended cut (which is actually Melius's directors cut). There's something more powerful with ending the film on Conan carrying Yasimina off into the sunrise than the burning Set Temple in the other versions.

    Could have asked Matessino and Fake. They probably still have the raw DATs used to assemble the Intrada Conan mix.

    Look people. Go on Prime Video and compare their copy (which has the original mono soundtrack) to the clip I provided. Choir is present in bits represented by only horns on the 5.1 mix.

    I don't know why they say that. Conan the Destroyer is in mono too! Anyway... last Universal production with a monaural soundtack was Walker in 1987.

    Its quite brighter than the old MCA LP master having been newly remixed from the 2" multitracks. Not perfect though as Intrada screwed up some parts that were reedits of pieces from earlier in the film. There was also some criticism that a tamtam was missing from the end of The Orgy but...
