HBO Max's streams of Babylon 5 were all sorts of FUBAR'd anyway. From glitched episodes and missing content at the start, to Season 2 being stereo only by the end.
Bye Bye Bunny, the Looney Tunes musical that was being shopped to other streamers, has apparently been cancelled and its animators laid off. Still no word on the fate of Batman: Caped Crusader.
Oh I wouldn't be surprised that AT&T probably would have messed things up if given the chance. The thing is Time Warner was so fubar'd from the underwhelming takes of BvS and the Whedon Justice League (and apparently also Crazy Rich Asians of all things due massive overspending on the...
Yeah but ironically it probably isn't AT&T's fault. Toby Emerich's pile of multi million dollar duds made Time Warner a friggen boat anchor by the time they got hold of it. All the Bell really wanted was HBO and ultimately they couldn't even keep that.
EDIT -- there appear to be conflicting...
If this is true, everything that possibly could go wrong with the Warner Discovery merger for HBO Max has GONE WRONG. COMPLETE TOTAL DISASTER. What a waste.
That would have nothing to do with this. Unti; the update HBO Max had 5.1 support on AndroidTV using AC3. After the update they're not supporting AC3 either. So there is no surround sound at all.
EDIT: Tech support is on the case
New update has now removed 5.1 support altogether from Nvidia Shield. Way to go guys! =/
EDIT: this has been confirmed to be the case with all AndroidTVs. Wonderful! What a complete clustersnafu.
EDIT 2: 24 hours later still broken.
Apparently its Dolby MAT according to the Apple TV Forums. I honestly don't know how Apple Tvs work. So far all I know is Roku is the only one supporting Dolby + because HBO abruptly turned it off for everything else.
