The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring , but hard. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Ran, but I could be voting with my heart, rather than what might really happen.
Ran GoodFellas I do think that Raise the Red Lantern is a great film, but I don’t believe that it will be considered a classic, except among the art house set.
Triva I’m thinking The Private Life of Henry VIII in 1933 (1934 Academy Awards), although this could be wrong, as the Academy often seems to view films made in the UK as non-foreign.
If that is the case it won’t be a ‘classic’. RE Cimarron. George and I agree as to the merits of the film—but maybe not as to its status. It may have won an award, but it is not (at least as I understand the term) generally regarded as a classic.
