Ok, that's why I said his dvd player must be set to the 4x3 mode. Figured it might be the dvd player settings. I wasen't sure if the black bars would show up like that on a 4x3 projector or not. That part of my post was actually a question.

Would this be because it's a 4x3 projector? Or maybe it's because his dvd player is still set for 4x3 mode since his RPTV was a 4x3 tv. I bet that's it.

Trevor, my God man. The audio equiptment you have is just unbelievable. 4 monsterous subs are too much for me to fathom. I wish I could get away with it. Those amps and that receiver, I just can't believe that combination, it's almost a shame to have such a powerfull (expensive) receiver like...
