I don't know these films. Are they considered BIG? I would think that on New Year's Day there would be a BIG announcement from Kino.

Yes, they are but I'm not sure if they are for the English parts too and not just the foreign parts. Unless by "optional" it means that they are for the English dialogue too and for the foreign parts they are "forced". Sorry, I'm foreign, and I am not familiar with the terminology very much.

Dear @Kino Lorber Insider , the English subtitles are for the whole movie and not just the foreign parts? Also, I wanted to ask, has the audio been fixed? (in the original blu-ray there was a popping sound/noise at around 30 minute mark and for 5 minutes)

I've read somewhere some comments (don't remember where), that this is a better film than the Longest Yard and North Dallas forty. Haven't seen it myself.

Ah, I'm happy I haven't bought yet the blu-ray. Hope it includes the original audio track too.

I have seen Has anybody seen my gal, once or twice and don't remember anything. But I will buy this because IIRC I liked it, and it has also Rock Hudson that I love (plus I love Douglas Sirk, though in melodrama mode more).

A 16mm source I know of has a duration of 100 minutes and 20 seconds! I just hope that bluray isn't cut.

Great news! Kino just announced at facebook Ulysses (1954) with Kirk Douglas! Now, this has been released in Germany a couple of years ago. Using google translate, I found out that they scanned the negative of the short cut (100 minutes) at 4K resolution and they put that in a bluray. But also...

yeah, my vote for it too along with Twilight for the Gods that was mentioned earlier. But, i have a hunch they will include Taza, Seminole, Captain Lightfoot and Bengal Brigade that have been released in Europe.
