Based on the list of extras and the technical specs, I'd say the "Augmented Reality" Edition is actually just Disc 1 of the set I reviewed in this thread. The timing of the release lines up with when the list in the other thread indicated the individual release would go.
While I will first say that I have real issues with people doing these 3D conversions of movies that were shot for 2D, any conversion of Jurassic Park would only be done with the participation of Steven Spielberg. I also agree that any 3D conversion would be, by definition, a digital...
I believe that a single of Jurassic Park (the first movie) and a single of Back To The Future (the first movie) will be made available this year as part of the 100th Anniversary idea.
Amazing that we've gotten down to figuring out the OSHA ramifications of working conditions at Jurassic Park.
I'm sure the worker's family was deeply consoled that OSHA weighed in on his predicament AFTER he was eaten.
I suppose there could have been a clause in the Jurassic Park...
The gate weave issue is just that the credits are a bit wobbly, but not in a major way.
I agree that Jurassic Park was a classic example of "unsafe working conditions". The survivors could give a series of lectures on safety precautions, couldn't they? My favorite new element I noticed...

This says to me that we have a good product here, with very mild issues that may be more troubling for some...
Malcolm, we have it directly from USHE that these were new 2011 scans and sound mixes, with full involvement from Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment. You're entitled to your opinion about the scans and mixes, but I think the issue of whether the work was done is now moot.
If your...
Thank you Greg for the info on the documentary. I'll update the review to reflect that. I think I remember that laserdisc as well. The interesting thing there is that it's the one major documentary piece NOT put together by Laurent Bouzereau...

The Jurassic Park trilogy roars onto Blu-ray with solid high definition picture and sound, a new Laurent Bouzereau interview collection, and a generous collection of archival materials culled from prior DVD releases and elsewhere. The movies themselves are a varied...
