Another nice thing about Pioneer CD and DVD players in general, is that they always test really well for jitter. I have seen Stereophile numbers for 3 Pioneer players (DVD, CD, and CD-RW believe it or not) that were all lower than 200 ps. 500 is considered good, and 1000 just barely acceptable.
