This week i have reviewed my CD collection and about half will be donated to a local charity shop.

I intended to buy Angel Has Fallen on 4k but streamed it on Prime. If i had liked it, i would have bought the disc but thought it was awful. I won't be buying downloads although many of you are. Streaming will kill disc sales because most people aren't collectors and will watch what is available.

My wife is at her book club tonight so i am having a few friends over for a film night. Spent a happy hour going through my disc collection to make up a shortlist. Twiddling through a digital list just isn't the same.

I have fast broadband and stream Prime and Netflix with no problems, in fact we often stream 3 or 4 devices at the same time. I had intended to buy Phantom Thread which i would have watched and added to my library but watched it on Netflix and didn't enjoy it enough to buy the disc. Streaming...

Other peoples collections i see are usually Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Disney etc. Yawn. No b&w, no classics, no foreign subtitled.
