The Hour Before the Dawn isn't one of Lake's best films and she doesn't have much (any) chemistry with Tone (a stiff actor). Nice to have it on blu ray though.
My favourite western, and I like the theme song as well. Delighted that KL are releasing this in 4k, and hope that there are more VistaVision titles in the pipeline, including those that have not been previously released on home video.
Sadly they don't ship to the UK. This also means those of us outside North America don't benefit from their sales. We pay full price so I do feel that we are supporting them. This has been another year in which I have bought more KL titles than from any other distributor.
I couldn't agree more. Frankenheimer is one of the finest directors of action there's ever been (car chase in Ronin and obviously Grand Prix). KL are leading the pack with 4k releases of classic films.
I've been waiting for The Italian Job since the format was launched and very pleased that KL are releasing this on 4k after some doubt about whether it would sell. It's simply one of the finest films produced in Britain.
