It was a year ago on the 20th when we found out that February releases would be moved to March. I’m wondering if we’ll receive similar news next week. Time will tell.
Christopher Strong and Saratoga are a welcome surprise, and a day-one purchase!! For months upon months, I’ve purchased every or almost every WAC release, so it’s nice to have a bit of a reprieve in September.
Happy for the folks looking for more contemporary films- each is worthy of release...
I know!!! So happy- I pre-ordered all 5 of the April titles. With countless amazing April blu ray releases from WAC and other labels, I may not be eating this month, but at least I’ll have amazing films to watch as I stave off hunger 🤣
I hope I'm allowed to share this. I've always had vivid, realistic dreams during sleep. Last night was no exception, only this time, I dreamt about a slate of WAC releases. The dream itself played out like one of the videos WAC used to post on its Facebook page, where one of the members would...
Of course I hope WAC has a wonderful year, and I'm just as curious about what this year brings. Right now, though, I'd just like my January 10th order to ship from Amazon- projected delivery February 25th-27th
With next year being the 100th Anniversary of WB, and Mr. F wanting to focus WAC’s output on WB titles, I remain hopeful that next year might be the year for Life with Father. Honestly, I don’t need a specific date of release. I would simply like to know if there are tentative plans to release...

A few August releases have started to appear- Ghosts- Season 2 and Season 3 from BBC and Charm City Kings, an HBO Max Original. Maybe we'll see additional title updates in the next few days?
All of these would be welcome! WAC doesn't have rights to a few of them, though. Deconstructing Harry was actually released on blu ray recently in a collection of Allen's more recent films. The Last Tycoon belongs to Paramount. The Visitors should belong to MGM, which now belongs to Amazon...
I thought Criterion planned to release (at some point) The Gay Divorcee, Top Hat, Follow the Fleet, and Shall We Dance. Perhaps this has changed? A WAC release of Roberta, Carefree, and Barkleys of Broadway would be just fine with me :)
I believe someone mentioned The Two Mrs Carrolls last week and its inclusion in HBO Max’s March line-up. I took a look at a few scenes during my lunch today- not quite ready for Blu-ray, I’m afraid. Here’s hoping- I do enjoy this teaming of Stanwyck, Bogart, and Smith.
From your post to WAC’s ear! I’m a bit concerned that maybe Criterion licensed it. Who knows how long we’ll wait if that’s the case. No offense to Criterion- love the product, dislike the waiting.
