Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

It depends at which sound card you have, and which software DVD player you'll be using. Anyway, if you only use Bose speakers, I guess you're not going to find a noticeable difference even if the card is less then the best. No offence! :-)

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

AFAIK, You can do room correction using SPDIF, but only in PCM mode, not for dolby digital or DTS. So it will be good for stereo sources, but won't work with HT. (unless you have a dolby digital encoder, like the nforce, only with better quality :-), if you have it, HT correction will be...

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

Just for general knowledge, here is what DRC did for my bass region (with the sub and mains together). I'll update the waterfall images when I'll do them, since things improve there too (time domain corrections). Mic was placed at the listening spot. Before DRC...

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

Dennis and Terry, What you say definitely make sense, but I'm not sure about a few things. First, I'm not sure that the author of the "Equalizer Myths" page had experience with the advanced stage that fir filters have come to recently, at the time that he wrote that article. Secondly, I'm not...

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

Terry Montlick and Dennis XYZ, I am not sure that you are right about IIR filters, maybe in theory you do (or just in basic bass eq duties), but in practice, for full range correction, Fir filters sound way more neutral than IIR filters. There is another thing: I've contacted more than a few...

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

Wayne, I've checked with Tact Audio, and their Room correction products only calibrate each speaker individually, and never together. Am I missing something ?.

Can anyone help with my DIY room correction process ?...

Hi, I am running my audio system from a HTPC. I have an unlimited band Parametric Eq software (which uses fir filters and not IIR filters, so you can use it also with the main speakers and not only with the subwoofer). I would like to use this software in order to apply room correction for my...
