Say your standing in a rocking row boat. Typically you spread your legs to steady yourself, but your stand has its legs close together. I’m not getting it. Not saying you’re wrong, just not getting it.
@Mike Frezon @BobO'Link I need a little education. What is so bad about having the legs of the stand positioned as pictured? That’s how my 77” LG C1 is standing and it seems steady enough.
Damn! I knew I shoulda learned to play. I think with my level of talent, though, the gal would have been throwing rotten fruit at me.
I hope you were able to finish the song.
You “don’t see the appeal for anyone else.” This is a matter of personal taste and we all have different tastes. Me I like pickles. I once knew a teenager who didn’t like chocolate. Holy crap. But that’s his taste.
I’m baffled that Edible Arrangements is still in business. They specialize in arranging pretty but tasteless fruit. I’ve never had one that tasted good.
I don’t believe cable/sat is regulated to the same extent OTA is. Stations are licensed to serve the public good, since they are using air waves that belong to the public. I doubt there’s any law requiring cable companies to carry local stations since they are available OTA.
I’ve always...
Boy, do I have to disagree. I find k-cups to be weak and lacking in flavor. Never had one I liked. Give me a top-notch coffee maker and a good back of beans any day.
I like coffee but as a kid I didn’t it. When I started to drink it regularly, it wasn’t love at first taste. I was also determined to drink it black, I didn’t want to add a lifetime of sugar and cream calories. That’s how I still drink it.
I like light, medium, and dark roasts, but my wife doesn’t like the dark, so we seldom have it at home. I like some of Starbucks but have found myself buying coffee beans at Whole Foods in Little Rock, usually from a local roaster. I’ve only had a Kureag from other people’s machines and find...
The purpose of the "gay friendly" thread was to have a thread that discussed movies with a gay theme or some amount of gay content. Since most movies (or tv shows) we discuss her don't have gay content, it seems to me unnecessarily to have a "straight" thread.
My comment said it wasn't needed...
The advertisements for new car replacement I think are misleading. “Get enough money to buy a new car” they say or something like that. They also say “with new care replacement” so that means you have to get a supplement for the insurance which means an added fee. Seems like the customer is...
I just popped into the thread at this message and thought Howie was referring to something else, but then I read the message above his. I'll let you guess as to what I thought he was referring to.
Which intersection is that?
As for roundabouts, I like them but many in LR are challenged by the concept. ;)
Just recently not far from me, there was a drug deal gone bad, and a high speed chase began. One idiot chasing another. They made it through the first roundabout (how?) but not the...
I had no idea Harmon was from TX. I accepted her as from Boston, but then I've never been to Boston. This kind of casting is done all the time, particularly English actors portraying American. The actor portraying the autistic doctor in The Good Doctor is English.
