Here in the ol’ us of a, it’s typical not to include atmos on the blu ray, not for storage reasons, just ‘cause. You want atmos? You gotta pony up for 4K.
I tried to login with my usual amazon email and the Japan version doesn’t know me. I googled yen translation and the Japanese price is almost $80 before shipping.
I think twice about buying any discs today and I think 3 times for a 3D disc. One, there will be no atmos on it and 2) someday I’m going to replace my 3D LG with 2D. Though I will investigate using VR goggles for the 3D.
See quote below.
Exactly and other studios to perhaps a lesser degree. I think one can generalize this to much of big business. Making TVs with 3D wasn’t a boffo money maker, so why bother.
I have a theory about Disney’s lack of support for 3D. Several years ago they released a movie (OZ?) that had only 3D, no 2D. I believe that’s a violation of the blu ray standard which requires both formats to be provided. Disney got a lot of pushback over that. I think that was a turning...
John, how much difference is there in the 3D quality of the two film?
It’s true John didn’t say how much different the 3D was. Another thing I’m considering is the 3D will not have atmos and I do enjoy an immersive sound track.
I just opened my AMC app for the first time in a year. There’s no 3D here in Little Rock, dammit! I hope this means there will be a blu ray 3D disc released somewhere in the world.
With no 3D theatrically, I’ll just watch it at home on HBO Max.
I’m a collector who’s not collecting for appreciation in value. If i didn’t have room to display these three posters I would not have bought them. I hope I get to look at them for another 20 years (might as well be optimistic).
That is true. If I found an original of CFTBL it might be in poor condition or beyond my budget or both. These posters are high quality lithographs made the same (or similar) way that movie posters were made prior to the 1940’s.
Now I will have two high quality poster reproductions. Anything...
