Each disc and all its contents are listed on the TimeLife website page for the box set. You can compare all the contents there.

That is how they originally aired. Nothing has been cut. They did not initially think to have Carol’s “entrance” as a part of the show. They match the production tapes Carol donated to UCLA.
And, yes, they did recreate a few of their finales over the years, like they did with “Without a...
Hi Ken,
Glad you liked the list. As far as the new Costco and Walmart exclusives go, no I have not had a chance to confirm that they contain only material from the big box. Based on descriptions, that seems to be the case though. Sad, since last time they both had exclusives that contained...
From the description, it looks like they added the "As The Stomach Turns" bonus sketch with the first appearance of Tim Conway's "Oldest Man" which actually appears in the Treasures from the Vault set in the big box. Chances are the other retailers single disc sets are simply the first disc of...
My info comes from the production logs Carol donated to UCLA Film & Television Archive. Certainly errors could have been made in them, but I truly believe after going through the info there that no additional episodes exist other than the ones in my list.
Okay, for anyone who wants it, here is the updated, complete list of all 276 Carol Burnett Show episodes, complete with Tape Date, Show Number, Air Date, Guests and which specific dvd they appear on, if any, including the previous Costco and Walmart exclusive discs. I keep it by Tape Date/Show...
Hi Bobster,
Episode 001 was taped on 8/19/67 and aired on 1/1/68. The guest stars were Mike Douglas and Lynn Redgrave.
Episode 002 was taped on 8/26/67 and aired on 11/20/67. The guest stars were Juliet Prowse and Martha Raye.
It's funny how the Jim Nabors episodes were never the first...
Hi Bobster,
Yes, I did indeed create and share a list detailing all the released eps, along with which discs they appeared on (both Time-Life and Columbia/Guthy Renker releases) as well as both the tape dates and the air dates, episode numbers, guest stars and if they were edited. I am...
I had forgotten about the Fireside Chat sketches. I remember my parents getting quite a kick out of those when I was a kid.
And I have now discovered one my new all-time favorite CBS pieces: "El Trios Piccolo Piggos." LOVED it! Great piece.
Haven't watched that episode yet. Maybe tonight.
Yes, the title is a play on the title of the film Marriage, Italian Style with Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni. That movie title was also spoofed a couple of years later by another film called Divorce, American Style starring Debbie...
But the bonus disc in Costco's Carol's Favorites set did not have any "new" episodes. It was simply a disc from another set in the boxset (specifically disc 1 of the One More Time set).
The new episodes (i.e. not in the main boxset) didn't get released until the 2nd collection, This Time...
As far as the extras go, the only thing is really could do without are the interviews with new celebs talking about how great the show was. We all know that; that's why we bought it. I do like the interviews with the guests that were on the show. And this time, I'm thrilled that the specials...
My set delivered today. I can't wait to dive into the episodes tonight.
Just as an FYI, the box is smaller than the last Ultimate Edition set, by about a third. One nice touch I noticed was in the booklets accompanying each set, there are occasional little notes from Carol about specific...
It was still offered a few weeks ago when I checked. They may have stopped selling it when the preorders went live for the new set, to avoid confusion. Or maybe it's really gone permanently, but that seems strange.
Extras include the 1972 Once Upon a Mattress and Carol + 2!! So excited for this release!
One small caveat, though not a deal-breaker for me by any means, the third volume pointedly does NOT say uncut episodes in its description. This appears to follow the previous set where the edited eps...
I think this WILL be a set comparable to the mega-set, since the website specifies "The Lost Episodes will be released in a deluxe box set with collectible packaging and hours of exclusive bonus content."
