Hi Mark, Unfortunately, the opening credits on the Season 1 dvds follow neither the original network airings, nor the re-runs. They took the opening from WHJ and stuck it on all the eps for the season. Not a big deal to some fans like me, but very disappointing to a lot of other hardcore...
Why, they found them because of .... "Constructive feedback and suggestions since provided from fans has led to the uncovering of additional source material to improve the audio on this specific episode."
LOL. Gotta love corporate-speak. But, again, at least they're doing...
This is great news! I honestly didn't even think we'd get DR1 redone. I can live with the other audio flaws (although I'm not happy with them!) MattHR, do you know for a fact they only fixed the first part of DR1? Their statement seems to imply they remastered the entire episode, not just...
I'm not going to get too optimistic yet, as I notice they ae carrying Universal's disclaimer about the set's problems right below that message: Product Alert: Every episode in the Bionic Woman Season 2 DVD release has been digitally re-mastered for optimal viewing. However, the remastering...
I would agree if this really was a case of "this is the best we can do with the materials." But since Region 2 has great audio as well as video, this is not excusable. Region 1 deserves to have the same high quality as Region 2. Also, have you watched "Deadly Ringer, Part I" yet? That is...
Well, that sucks. Sigh. Again, I don't see why "the original elements" are so different for the two Regions. But, the bottom line is it does not sound like any correction will be done. I can understand not fixing every ep, but in this day and age of digital wizardry, they couldn't find a way...
Good grief!! They SERIOUSLY need to re-do this release then and offer replacement discs. If it was just a couple eps, or if it was the shape of the existing materials, it would be one thing. But to have it be nearly half the eps, and to have unaffected discs issued in other regions is...
There's flaws on "Road to Nashville" as well. The opening credits sequence is muffled, as is Hoyt Axton's first song. Sadly, Linday's song is NOT. LOL. Also found the trouble on "Kill Oscar I" as noted above. It goes in and out on that ep. During the sequence with Jaime and Rudy it actually...
