my guess is 1500 bucks new. For the most part even moderately priced stereo pre-amps kept the design aspects right. The sub 1000 pre/pros never did sound right to me for music...too grainy and electronic. Sure, I'm sure folks will say all pre-amps sound the same but this is MHO after...
