The 2s excite my room pretty well, but extension is not really that deep, not even as low as the 20s it seemed like, but I think that was done to keep the lower midrange cleaner. Deep male and female vocals sound very good at moderate listening levels, still sounding realistic, though not...

Technically speaking, price aside, the M22 should be compared to the Studio 40 and LSi9. My A/V-1s are $750, fully assembled, and are very similar to the LSi7, but I have not done a back to back with them yet. When I did a back to back with my A/V-2s though (same drivers, nearly the same...

I believe I did say at $199 price point...which is probably at or below cost. That makes them an extreme bang for the buck already, which is why I bought three pairs. Polk is trying to raise their image, but I don't think they are quite there yet. Very good yes, but truly competetive in the high...

Sig S2s are only $1900 in any finish at the only local dealer carrying them around here. I was actually thinking they weren't worth even that price, but close. Very nice sounding and looking speakers. While the parts may only be about 20% of the total cost of the speaker, there is a lot more...

Sale price being $199/pr, that would put them in the Paradigm Titan, Axiom M3, Polk RT, Infinity Alpha, JBL N/E range, and none of those bookshelves would be as good, IMO. The secondary markdown doesn't count, as I am pretty sure there were extremely few or none left for sale when those prices...

Sorry, bang for the buck at the clearance prices, not the MSRP prices. :b At the MSRP prices, I would not have bought them, but at the clearance prices, nothing can touch them. Nope, couldn't tell you another speaker that actually was the holy grail of speakers, especially not at this price...

I know the retail price of these tweeters, and I understand this is where a lot of that cost must come from. They are excellent tweeters, and about 75% of the reason why the LSis sound good, but I doubt Polk is paying street price for them in large volume. Bang for the buck, the LSis are very...

Of course they will, everyone thinks very highly of what they own. Not to mention that separates will essentially sound better with just about any decent speakers...a good separate amp will always improve clarity, dynamics, soundstage, etc... I OWN LSi7s, and I am commenting from first hand...

Yeah, I could tell you were talking about the 20s in the review. :D Had a chance to listen to the S2 (or any of the Signatures)? Very nice speakers, IMO the best Paradigm has made.

Great review. :emoji_thumbsup: From your first list. The STUDIO 20 are $800/pr. The SIGNATURE S2 are $2000/pr., and there is a BIG difference between the two. Sonus Faber uses soft dome tweeters, and if you are used to the Axiom sound, you are not going to get used to it during brief...
