To be safe I decided to get professionally tested. I went into my provider and had the more accurate Polymerase Chain Reaction [PCR] test as opposed to the antigen [Rapid] test I 'd used at home. The result was negative so now I can schedule my booster shot.
I've held back on boosters thus far but started feeling inexplicably tired and worn down earlier today. I had the runny nose and sneezing but no shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Since my wife is set to go into her office tomorrow we decided I should get tested. The home test we...
This is what I'm waiting for as well. I've never had any real symptoms and had both of the original Moderna shots early on as I was working in healthcare IT at the time. I'd just assume get the "latest" booster and hopefully be done, for awhile at least.
My 2nd Moderna shot hit a little harder on me than the first for sure but still resulted in no more than a general feeling of tiredness for the remainder of the day and some mild body aches. I was fine within 24 hours. Well worth it and I'd do it again without question if the need arises.
I thought about whether or not to post this comment as I do not want the thread veering off topic again. I'm not sure whether or not we even disagree but, if we do, let's do it respectfully.
After reading the article, I don't know that this particular case is fairly attributed to COVID as there were several preexisting conditions. Either way, your reminder is still appropriate.
I still wear my mask in public but not when I'm in an uncrowded area such as a parking lot. For the time being anyway, the more masks I see the happier I am. We're getting there but an abundance of caution at this point might expedite things and can't possibly hurt. I also question the CDC's...
This I totally understand. I've never had the flu shot and I've never had the flu, but COVID-19 is a wholly different beast. I got the vaccine out of concern for those I might come into contact with, not so much myself.
Realistically we knew at the onset, not everyone would buy into...
Sorry to hear this. I'd monitor yourself closely as your symptoms are are bit beyond what has been experienced by most after the 2nd shot. Your remaining symptoms do sound more like a common cold so hopefully it will just run its course quickly.
My wife finally received her #2 Moderna shot yesterday. She's been barely functional since then, experiencing head and body aches whereas I experienced only general fatigue on the day of my #2 shot and was perfectly fine the next day other than a sore arm of course.
LOL - Where were you 5 years ago when I needed a kick in the butt regarding proper dental care. I've spent the last years maxing out my insurance deductibles [and patience] paying the price for years of neglect. I have my final catch-up appointment in a couple of weeks. Like you, my wife is...
If they know the facts and choose to interpret them differently, you won't change their mind so my advice would be to move on to others who might be more receptive. In the end we're looking for numbers, not individuals.
For reasons you and others have previously stated, it may take longer than it really needs to but we will get there. That percentage of people Carlo references all have family and friends who might be able to reach them if they tried. Several skeptics exist in my own family and I've began...
This only proves you know some rather odd people. Not to worry. So do I but I do believe they represent the exception, which always exists but is rarely statistically relevant.
I don't think this type of sentiment denotes genuine concern as much as it does a general penchant for non-conformance and distrust of "the system." While I emphasize to a point, in most cases, I suspect if someone close to an individual with this mindset suffered serious symptoms or worse from...
Georgia relaxed eligibility requirements recently which allowed my wife to finally get her first shot of Moderna over the weekend. I'm also seeing more mass vaccination sites pop up to handle the increased demand. It seems things are finally starting to move along. I won't say I see the light...
Placement doesn't matter but the nurse had to be well aware of your particulars before administering the vaccine. In our remote setups we use 2-way radios between various waypoints to relay information.
There's nothing like a true sports fan. I'm just a casual one but it seems like it might...
It wasn't debilitating in any way for me. I still continued with my usual routine, just at a lower energy level. Within a day or so I felt normal again. Hope your experience is the same or better.
