The one thing I was wondering about... did we know that Mike knew Saul before this episode? That seemed out of nowhere and wasn't really explained.

I was half unsure whether they were going to have her play it straight when she finally started to confront him, or if her plan was to make it seem to him like she was crazy again, and that she didn't have backup. The former is so much more interesting though.

Agreed, pretty much everything hit perfectly. And the ending, wow. I think that's part of what makes this a good show, it doesn't stretch things out longer than it has to. On 24, for example, it might have taken half the season for the good guys to find that chip. It's almost shocking when...

That was just excellent, again. I loved Brody during the confrontation in the garage, and Carrie's smile (which I assume is what gave the episode its title) was perfect. Only problem is, over the weekend I marathoned the first season, and now having to return to waiting a week for the next one...
