What do people think about this one? Some of the WWII films have intriguing premises but don't really deliver imo (e.g., Passage to Marseilles). I'm interested in this but have no familiarity with it.
The "male garbo" for nils ashter is maybe a stretch, but I've never seen this in a good print and I'm looking forward to it. And like so many giants of old, John Carradine is always superlative.
