Fair point, here's another well stated negative take: http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-star-wars-the-force-awakens-stinks-20151226-column.html (Atlas Shrugged free)
That part was a joke. If John Ford can put Claudette Colbert on the 18th Century American frontier and have her makeup never get even a slight smudge, who am I to ever suggest something similar could be flaw.
This is the best discussion of I have seen in the flaws in the new film: http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/what-went-wrong-with-star-wars-the-force-awakens/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Firewire%20-%20HORIZON%2012-22-15%20FINAL&utm_term=Firewire (I liked Adam Driver...

Overall, this was an ok film, but it was mainly one action sequence after another. Personally, I liked Phantom Menace and Clone Wars better. The brightest spot in the film is Adam Driver. He really has some presence on film. The other new actors don't seem to offer much more than thousands...
The 3D shot of the First Order Destroyer was the best 3D effect in the film. The rest of the 3D was negligible. Not really sure what the justification for it is other than a higher ticket price.
