In the article it also mentions the director for Thunderbolts (Jake Schreier). Had this been announced previously?

It might be fun to see them again, but the novelty will not be there this time.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

Yeah, I don’t want to see that either, since their character arcs were fleshed out and complete. It was more me theorizing what Feige/Marvel might do. But Secret Wars would give them that opportunity, since my understanding is that the story essentially brings in variants from multiple...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

The 1st 3 phases built up to and were capped by Avengers event movies. Phase 3 took on additional meaning since it was the culmination of all 3 phases, aka The Infinity Saga. You’re right in that there seems to be less of a distinction between these new phases, since there’s no Avengers movie...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

I was discussing with my wife that if they’re building up to Secret Wars, coming out in, say, 2028-2029, given how it’s got pretty much everyone, imagine if Feige announced… the return of RDJ, Chris Evans and Scarlet Johansson as variants of their 616 selves? Would that explode the MCU fandom...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

I do love all the MCU discussion!! Especially with MCU fans like yourself, @Sean Bryan , @Josh Dial , @Adam Lenhardt , and many others! Re: Thor L&T - yes, it doesn't have anything to do with multiverses, but I would still venture that watching it without having seen any of the previous Thor...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

Re: 1) I understand your point, which is good and valid. Marvel did announce a lot of content at Comic Con, so I'm certainly not disagreeing if someone on Twitter says it's too much. It's an individual perspective. My comment is that the 30-40 hours it takes to watch what they release in the...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

Many people on social media are saying that Marvel is moving too fast, and putting out too much too soon, and being bombarded with new content almost every couple of weeks. Given the tweet above, with the Multiverse saga / Phases 4-6 completed in essentially 4 years (2021-2025), it’s certainly...

So the trademarked title for Captain America 4 was confirmed, as well as Thunderbolts. Good likelihood the other titles are legit, even if not ultimately used or are changed.

For sure … they have enough anticipated content that they could just do their own show. I mean, they even make some consequential announcements at shareholder events!

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

I don’t know the historical attendee numbers, but I’d have to think Comic Con has more attendees than D23 given its history and reputation for big announcements. People going to Comic Con would most likely go for more than just the Disney announcements. And since D23 is just Disney-related...

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 General Discussion (Spoilers discussed for All Films -- Please Read First Post)

I would agree that Disney would probably like to save some big announcements for D23… but they did make a huge splash at Comic Con in 2019 (post Endgame), even though there was also D23 that year as well.

There are some new Marvel film titles that have apparently just been trademarked (not coincidentally 1 day before Marvel's session in Hall H on Saturday July 23 at Comic-Con).
