Picked up Season 2 at Costco ($29.99, apparenlty $29.09 in some areas) last night and watched the episode 'My Name Is Rawls'. I thought it was the first episode of the season, but TV.com is showing it as the 4th. Hmmm, I'll have to check tonight and see if I messed up. Anyway, the video quality...
I think it's a great move to release seasons 1 & 2 at the same time since season 2 is in color and season 1 is not. I will likely start with season 2 for that reason and consider season 1 later on. I look forward showing this show to my boys for the first time.
That's one I'd get too. There are essentially no new programs that take place during the 1700's-1800's anymore (at least that I'm aware of), so if these came out on DVD they are a more compelling buy than other types of TV stuff coming out.
