I just used cheap black spray paint. :b The wood seems to really suck it up, but I will be putting on more coats tommorow to see if i can get a decent looking finish.

Hey guys, I put the flat black primer on the bottom of the enclosure to test it out, and it really doesn't look too good :frowning: That is two coats right there, will spraying a coat of truckbed liner on top remove all the surface imperfections?

Thanks for the opinions guys! AllanRW, I think I will try your idea. Do you sand the truckbed liner after it has been applied and dried?

I'm going to hopefully modify my 3pi theater series speakers to include 2 12" woofers, and since my speakers are just bare MDF right now, I might as well finish them to make them look at least a bit respectable. I want them to be able to play outdoors (not in the rain or anything) if needed...
