Thanks for the info but I had already ordered my copy from Amazon. But with their current sale price, it'll be close to the BB price with Amazon's free shipping and no tax on the item, about $2-3.00 difference.
Thanks for the info! I own several PAL sets and my experience is the same as yours; I notice the speed-up with some of my opening/closing theme spots, but none in the main episodes. I've also played PAL discs for several friends and none of them have detected a difference between PAL & NTSC...
^^ Jeff, Thanks for the info! The episode run times of .47-.48 indicate PAL masters or time-compression, assuming that they're not edited episodes. Has anyone compared their off-air copies to the studio release to check for episode scene edits?

Mark, Thanks for the info! From your feedback, the video transfers look decent? The only issue that might steer me to the R2 release is the amount of music substitutions in the episodes, excluding the Pilot ep as was mentioned previously here.

Tim, Thanks for the review! I admit that I'm a little concerned to hear about music replacement with the R1 set but if it's only in the Pilot episode as you indicated, I plan on getting the R1 release. If there are other music edits throughout the other episodes, I think I'll get the R2...
