I tried to order a TV/DVD set but it's not applying any cyber Monday discount in my cart. So I didn't order the item. I checked my WBshop e-mail and I don't see any code or coupon that's needed for the 75% sale. I wonder if certain items are not included in the sale, perhaps TV/DVD...

I see where the WBShop site is advertising a site-wide 75% off with free shipping for today's "Black Friday" sale. I tried adding a TV/DVD release into my cart. It recognized the free shipping part but didn't apply any 75% discount to that title ("Falcon Crest" season 2). Perhaps the...

Well, I see it maybe differently than some here on the movie Bd. I've bought a few DVD-R's from WB Archive but that's most likely all I'll buy from the site. The ones I've bought are the "Barker" Tarzan set and "The Brass Bottle" ('64). I didn't have personal copies of any of these movies and...

What surprises me is that he said the Archive is "blowing people away". Maybe that's just studio PR but if true, at least the burn-on-demand concept isn't tanking out of the gate. While I agree that the program needs to be adjusted, to me, there's no doubt that, given the age of the (SD) DVD...

I can only comment on the single Archive purchase that I bought which was the Barker Tarzan set. imo, can't complain, they're better than unofficial or PD releases. I do agree with many here about the price point for DVD-R's though. Maybe the price will drop as time moves on.

imo, some good point posts here in the last few hrs. Brad, imo, very good points. I have bought only once from the archive so far. I bought the Barker Tarzan set. I waited for a coupon in addition to the "box set" discount so that's the reason I pulled the trigger on the set. With shpping...

You make some good points here but just imo, I think that the reason there's objections here with the archive program is due to the pricepoints of the product, in addition to the (in some cases) transfer Q. I've only bought the Barker Tarzan pack since the archive program began as I'm mainly a...

    Warner Archive Discussion Thread (FEEDBACK)

Richard, welcome to the forum! I recently bought the Barker Tarzan set and am happy with the purchase. That said, I don't plan on buying additional archive titles in the near future. Some of the reason is the pricepoints and the other reason is that they don't have films that I'm looking to...

Brad, I've watched a couple of these over the weeked: Tarzan's Magic Fountain & Tarzan & the She-Devil. Here's my layman's take on them (all imo): Both films had similar quality transfers which as stated here previously are not remastered but easily watchable on my home video setup. Here's my...

Karine, Thanks for the well-wishes for those of us that have had problems with ordering online. My Barker "Tarzan's" are on the way so I got the issues cleared up. The Cust Svc Rep that I talked with on the phone yesterday seemed well-informed and located my order in their system quickly...

Barker Tarzan Saga Cont. I called C.S. today and they said that my Tarzan set order would ship tomorrow. So they did charge me an active CC charge before the order actually shipped. Just some info for the rest of the gang here. If your CC acct shows an active charge it doesn't necessarily...

Barker Tarzan Saga Cont. I'll be a monkey's uncle (not that Disney movie, just me ) I've been checking my online CC acct occasionally since the Barker Tarzan issues developed and I now see an active charge for the original discounted amount for the Tarzan set. If I read the previous posts...

That, imo says it all. We all understand that "gremlins" visit Net sites occasionally but the communication issue at the archive store is a real problem. That was an obvious problem when I talked with the CS Rep over the phone. I'm wondering if these problems may be specifically related to...

    Warner Archive Discussion Thread (FEEDBACK)

I checked my CC acct online and the previous WB archive "pending" charge for the Barker Tarzan set is gone so no worries for me about possible CC cancellation issues. "To re-order or not to re-order....that is the question...." I can't decide on whether to try again for the Tarzan set. I did...

Allen, Just curious since you didn't have a problem ordering & receiving the Tarzan set: Did you place the order by phone or thru the online store? What I see as a big problem here is the inconsistency of information from the WB Cust Reps over the phone. Since Allen (& others perhaps?) have...

    Warner Archive Discussion Thread (FEEDBACK)

Here's my story on the Barker Tarzan set: I called Cust Svc and I wasn't in their system. I tried to re-order on the phone but the Rep said that this set isn't in stock and to sign up for e-mail notification via the online store's Wish List when it's in stock. The only problem is that the...

Frank, Thanks for the phone #. I'll try calling them to see if my story's the same as yours. It sounds like WB is having a considerable amount of problems with the online archive site regarding their ordering system. Is everyone else here having these kind of problems?

    Warner Archive Discussion Thread (FEEDBACK)

Do you guys have that WB archive phone # handy to post here? I haven't located it in the FAQ's or in the "Contact Us" section of the site. I'm another one that ordered late on the 7th and my CC shows the "pending" satus of the order so I'd like to call them and get a status update.

I ordered the Barker Tarzan's online last week on 05/07 . I received the conf e-mail right after ordering but my credit card co also still has the charge pending. Maybe the archive store's doing more business than their staff can manage in a timely manner? What's the average time from placing...

I wish I could have found 4 more titles with the Tarzan set. There's just not much (so far) that I'm interested in but if WB can get some Paramount titles in the archive offers, I might be buying a couple more.

Marcel, thanks for the info. That's 1 of the 2 Barker's that I might jump into this archive thing for purchases if I can get a coupon, etc, that will get the price down some. As Frank & Brad said, I'm interested in the rest of the Barker Tarzan's but I can't justify spending the $$'s for all of...

I am also not a fan of download for most of the reasons that Tony mentioned. I don't have a setup to the 'net at present in my main viewing room on my Plasma set and have no interest in downloading movies to a PC or hard drive.
