CDs are a little different from DVDs, but for sure, like you, I've had even better luck with them. Many of mine are 40 years old and still look and play like brand new.

I'm not worried about this. The only discs I've ever had go bad on me are a handful from Warner, all pressed within a particular time frame at a particular plant. Nothing from any other company, and thankfully nothing else from Warner outside of those two parameters mentioned.

Yep, my Amazon pre-order for this title that's supposed to be out today now says, "Not yet shipped. We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."

Though I'm a big A. Hepburn fan, I don't know anything about Green Mansions. As to Paris When It Sizzles, I know it generally doesn't get a lot of love, but I think it's an absolutely brilliant satire and funny as all get out! Audrey and Bill Holden camp it up perfectly!

Finally, 3 Godfathers--excellent! And They Drive By Night looks intriguing as well. More Bogie is never a bad thing. Neither is more Ida Lupino. :) WAC, I'm back in the purchasing saddle again!

None of the studios seem to pay much if any attention to their cases. My "favorite" is when they mold divots into the case for the fingers to slide into and make getting the disc out easier, but then they neglect to cut corresponding spaces in the circular ring surrounding the disc, so the...

Good to know. I have to buy the U.K. WAC version of The Ghost Ship, since evidently it's the only version that's been corrected to include the rotoscoped moth that was erroneously edited out of the U.S. version. I'll just swap out the case for a proper new one.

True! At least WAC uses regular Blu-ray cases that actually protect the discs and not those terrible, so-called "eco-friendly" (not eco-friendly at all since they can't be recycled and no one wants them) cases that are easily damaged in the mail like Warner proper STILL uses.

I didn't see that earlier; I thought it was a February release with the others. Thanks for setting me straight on that, Randy. It does make one wonder if anything else will be added to the March lineup.

I won't second-guess anything WAC does--they know more about their own biz than I do! And I won't ever dis someone else's likes and desires for WAC titles. We all have our own special favorites we're looking forward to that are certain to be "meh" to somebody else. That said, I'm with you...

Thank you for this update. Given how much time has passed, it seems to me that the moth will not be fluttering on any U.S. disc anytime soon, if ever. I may just have to spring for the corrected UK disc. And who knows? Maybe the original mothless U.S. pressing will become a collector's item...

So, do we definitely know that Warner Archive has not put the moth back in its newest batch(es) of The Ghost Ship in the U.S., and that the only way to get the corrected version is to buy (for a second time--I'll consider it a donation to WAC!) a copy from the UK?
