one thing i really liked was the detail in the design of the symbol to locate the nebula from the past on the knife, in the present on the jewelry and science references to the tree and the in future. of course, from the trailer i liked the angle of the traveling on horse, car and globe.

ah ok, that makes more sense, so the book and the fiction portion is fake but modern+future are both real. i liked the zen poses >).

just watched it tonight. WOW! first of all i didn't like darren's previous efforts pi and requiem. so coming from me, this is a good sign. secondly, the movie is great to look at, it's very visually arresting. third, are you guys REALLY sure there's no CG involved? the fx look out of this...

why is it already out of the theaters? i just got around having some time and found that it's only playing in a 2nd-run cinema. wtf happened? 2many movies being released?

saw jackman on conan. what a very personable guy! i luv his stories. the way he tells it always keeps me interested. there's just a down-to-earth-aw-shocks australian feel about him. i really like it. some of the best directors are great verbal storytellers. if you watch spielberg interviews...

i read that there is NO CG FX, or at least minimally used in this film. can you guys believe it after watching it?

people weren't receptive to fight club when it first came out either =). we'll just have to wait until the film actually arrives to judge for ourselves. but as i may or may not have noted earlier, i didn't like his 1st films: pi & requeim (sp?) for a dream (even after 3 and 4 helpings of each).

the problem with quicktime is that it is a package of many other apps like java, flash, html, etc. the way to properly playback 720p or 1080p h.264 quicktime content is to install coreavc 0.0.0.4 and coreaac as well as haati splitter and use MPC to play it back. first, you need at least r300...

if you live near city or suburbs, have you checked your local library? i just went online and reserved my copy for pickup sometime later.
