Evan, I'm sure if you wrote to Bungie, and explained your situation that you had no possible way to update, they would find a way to get you an update. Probably mail you a disc with the update. It didnt take them long to fix the problem. They dont want people to be upset with their product.

Perhaps it is a overscan issue. and maybe Bungie made it so that the HUD and other displays were as close to the edge as possible (more so than other games) for more picture. And it just so happens most of the people experiancing problems have an overscan issue that they never calibrated.

I heard if you put it in 4:3 and stretched it it looks similar to Halo 1, if thats the case I can deal with it until they come to a solution. those pics are great, they are getting my psyched

Your right, mine can be and has been altered by Tweeter's service center using Home Video Essentials. so I dont think I have much overscan now, granted I do have some, but its normal for a RPTV and shouldnt have to be altered to accomodate a single flawed video game.

as long as you could connect it to an ethernet line able to reach the internet you may not have to pay for X-box Live, it should automatically update the fix I would think.

I cant, my tv is a 55" widescreen HD Mitz Rear-Proj. Not to mention, I shouldnt have to adjust my overscan. But I would as a temporary solution if I could.
