Obviously, everything comes down to personal taste. But there have been some multiverse stories that have connected with audiences, so I don't think the entire concept is without merit. It just depends on the execution. Across the Spider-Verse (a Sony project) is just the most recent example...
I agree. One of the things that I liked about the first couple episodes is that the show wasn't really about superheroes. It was interesting to see Nick Fury on his own dealing with something where he effectively couldn't call in the Avengers to punch their way out of the situation. So it was...
I would agree with your general premise that there has been some great stuff since Endgame, but not nearly consistently enough. I would sort the films differently than you would, which is fine, because of course we don't have to agree on everything. However, I think the fact that we have such...
I think you misheard the battle in question. What I remember is he did this after the Battle of Earth, which is what they're calling the big battle from the end of Endgame.
The mid-credits scene in Captain Marvel was Carol responding to Fury's page from Infinity War and finding the surviving Avengers instead because Fury had been dusted. The end tag was Goose the cat throwing up the Tesseract which he had eaten.
The post-credits scene you are probably thinking of...
That's the thing that doesn't make sense to me. The last time we saw Nick Fury, he was in space at the end of Far From Home. When I saw that, I thought, "They're putting him up there so he can be in the Captain Marvel sequel." Endgame made pretty clear that Carol sees herself as a cosmic...
For those who are sensitive, I'm going to put this in a spoiler tag because it is in reference to Captain America: Brave New World, but Kevin Feige has explicitly stated it in press interviews. So he obviously wants this information to be out there and I don't personally think it is a spoiler.
I don't think an increase in budget would have fixed the massive problems that I have with this. It's not the money, it's the writing for Rhodey and G'iah that make this terrible, and none of that was financially motivated.
Can She-Hulk break Disney+ and erase this again? As much as I hated...
Ooof.
I did not like the finale at all.
I was on board in the beginning of the series, but it collapsed in the final stretch. This is one of the worst things Marvel has ever put out.
Director Ali Selim confirms he talked to The Marvels team about where they needed the show to leave Fury. So this seems to confirm that Secret Invasion takes place first.

Here, Cobie Smulders says she "doesn't know anything" about rumors she will be in The Marvels. Maybe THR got it wrong. Or made they're right and she just can't say anything.
I think it is going to be the first situation in your spoiler tag. I doubt very much there would be this much press attention (interviews, etc. which I've linked in this thread) if the show is just going to undo it next week. I know there's more to come and things could always change in a show...
I'm glad I stayed up late to watch the premiere.
I liked it, but I'm a little bit confused about the timeline of the cold open. We are once again told on screen that it is "present day" in the MCU. But considering the blip, "present day" is pretty vague. I really wish they would be more...
Samuel L. Jackson says Don Cheadle is in Secret Invasion.

That's not much of a surprise, but still good to have confirmed. What is more surprising is that they have never worked together before...
In the least surprising Marvel news of the year, Cobie Smulders is going to be in Secret Invasion. Since Maria Hill usually goes wherever Nick Fury goes, it would be more surprising if she wasn't in this. But now it's official...
I didn't watch Game of Thrones so I have only seen her in Solo (meh) and Me Before You (one of the worst and most deeply offensive movies ever made.) So I've never seen her in anything that I think is good. Maybe Marvel can turn my opinion of her around.
Emelia Clark is coming.

I'm really not a fan of hers. But whatever.
Olivia Coleman is in talks to join the cast. She of course won an Oscar for The Favourite and I really liked her work in the miniseries The Night Manager a while back.
