Is it just me or are sitcoms so generic and outdated?

Is it just me or are sitcoms so generic and outdated?
Ya know, I never understood something about 'Married with Children', why the hell was Al always complaning about having sex with Peg? She was so hot! Just once i'de like a woman like that! Anyway, the only sitcoms I watch these days are 'Sienfeld', 'The King of Queens'(Leah Remini:yum :), and...- Inspector Hammer!
